Technician of microscopy

 

Job description

  • routine service and setup of the Light Sheet Microscope (NeuroRecon project)
  • initial training of the new microscope users
  • data/image processing
  • assistance in sample preparation
  • other work activities as instructed by supervisors

Required Skills/qualification

  • relevant education in science, chemistry, biophysics, veterinary, medical or related field required
  • willingness to learn and understand new methods and techniques
  • working knowledge of English
  • working knowledge of office and database software

Previous experiences with the light, especially fluorescence microscopy are desirable but not mandatory.

The position is available immediately as an initial fixed-term (1 year) contract, with long term extension possible upon demonstrated proficiency. The place of work is IEM, Vídeňská 1083, Prague 4, 142 20.
