Postdoctoral Researcher
Department of Cellular Neurophysiology
JOB DESCRIPTION
-
participation in research into the role of glial cells (especially astrocytes and NG2 glia) in the pathophysiology of the central nervous system
-
work with laboratory animals (crossbreeding, surgeries, behavioral testing)
-
modern microscopic techniques (fluorescence microscopy, Ca
2+
imaging)
-
electrophysiology (patch-clamp method
in vitro
or in acute tissue slices)
-
methods of cell biology (immunocyto/histochemistry, preparation of cell cultures, preparation of single-cell suspension for FACS, RT-qPCR, RNAseq)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
-
PhD degree in biology, medicine or chemistry
-
enthusiasm for research work
-
independence, reliability, flexibility, willingness to implement and optimize new techniques
-
active knowledge of English
-
experience with publishing activity
-
PC skills
-
experience with above-mentioned methods is an advantage
-
certificate confirming qualification and professional competence (designing experiments and experimental projects) in the field of experimental animal use according to § 15e paragraph 2a) of Act No. 246/1992 on the Protection of Animals against Cruelty is an advantage
