Brain Week is a unique cycle of lectures on the latest discoveries and trends in brain research and neuroscience.

Brain Week is a unique cycle of lectures on the latest discoveries and trends in brain and neuroscience research, organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The event is part of the Brain Awareness Week (BAW) - a worldwide campaign to raise public awareness of the successes and benefits of brain research. The Traditions of the Brain Week in the Czech Republic were initiated and established by the Czech neuroscientist professor Josef Syka in 1998.

During the Week, the leading Czech experts in the field of theoretical and clinical neurosciences will take part in the lectures. The lectures are intended for the general public, especially for secondary school students. An interesting accompanying program is also prepared.
