Dr. Hana Barošová has received a prize for the best thesis of the year 2020 at the Faculty of Science and Medicine of the University of Fribourg.

We would like to inform you about the extraordinary success of Dr. Hana Barošová from the Department of Genetic Toxicology and Epigenetics, Institute of Experimental Medicine, Czech Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Hana Barošová  received a prize for the best thesis of the year 2020 within her Ph.D. studies at the Faculty of Science and Medicine of the University of Fribourg.

The aim of her thesis „3D human co-cultures for predicting nanomaterial possible adverse effects on human health with a focus on multi-walled carbon nanotubes“ was to develop an in vitro testing strategy including reliable and responsive human alveolar cell culture models, and exposure scenario for repeated long-term exposures of nanomaterials at low doses (with special attention to carbon nanotubes) at the air-liquid interface (ALI).

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Barošová, and we wish her much success in her professional and personal life.
