Invitation to the Institutional seminar of the IEM CAS – Imaging neuronal activity in the auditory cortex of mice with experimentally induced tinnitus

Published 07. 11. 2022

We would like to invite you to the next institutional seminar of the IEM CAS, this time on the topic of Imaging neuronal activity in the auditory cortex of mice with experimentally induced tinnitus

Lecturer:
Mgr. Nataša Jovanovič / Dept. of Auditory Neuroscience

Annotation:
Tinnitus is the phantom perception of sound without its physical source. The mechanisms leading to this auditory disorder are still unclear. Using animal models of tinnitus, its neural correlates in the auditory pathway have been found to involve attenuated GABAergic signaling. In this presentation, we present the results of our experiments aimed at investigating changes in the activity of auditory cortex neurons in mice with deletion of the GABAB receptor subunit, KCTD12 protein.

10th November 2022 / 14:00 / Turquoise Auditorium of the IEM

Due to the epidemiological situation, we recommend respiratory protection with an FFP2 respirator. Protect yourself and the others around you.

We look forward to meeting you.
