Invitation to the Institutional seminar of the IEM CAS – Mesenchymal condensations during bone and cartilage shaping in the embryonic head

Published 5. 10. 2022

Following a short holiday break, we would like to invite you to the next institutional seminar of the IEM CAS, this time on the topic of Mesenchymal condensations during bone and cartilage shaping in the embryonic head.

Due to the epidemiological situation, we recommend respiratory protection with an FFP2 respirator. Protect yourself and the others around you.

We look forward to meeting you.

6th October 2022 / 14:00 / Turquoise Auditorium of the IEM

Lecturer:
RNDr. Ondřej Machoň, Ph.D. / Dept. of Developmental Biology

Annotation:
Bones in the head display an enormous variety of shapes and sizes that requires precise regulation of cell organization and proliferation during embryogenesis. This talk will discuss molecular principles of key stages of bone formation, i.e. mesenchymal condensation and directional growth of cartilage and bone in the face and skull region in mouse embryos.
