Adaptation of the human population to the environment as a mechanism of reduction of civilization diseases

Dr. Pavel Rössner, Jr. and dr. Andrea Rössnerová
Department of Genetic Toxicology and Nanotoxicology will present a lecture entitled

Adaptation of the human population to the environment as a mechanism of reduction of civilization diseases

November 11, 2017 from 9 am

Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Národní 1009/3, 110 00 Prague 1, room 206

The lecture will present the results of research on the influence of polluted air on the health status of the population. With the use of cytogenetic and epigenetic approaches, the mechanism of human adaptation to the environment was designed after the analysis of populations living in variously polluted areas of our country. In addition to comments on the outputs of individual studies, there will be a number of pictures of cytogenetic findings in the lecture. In conclusion, we also think about the possible links between adaptation of the organism and reduction of the occurrence of civilization diseases.
