Nitrogen dioxide and dust negatively affect Prague residents (article in the newspaper)

Nitrogen dioxide pollution negatively affects pregnancy and increases the incidence of Alzheimer's disease, according to Dr Radim Šrám from the IEM CAS. "European experts confirm an increase in mortality with long-term exposure to NO2 concentrations higher than 20 micrograms per cubic metre. These results prove that a reduction of the current annual standard of 40 is necessary," he adds.
