As a protest against the current events in Ukraine, Prof. MUDr. Josef Syka, DrSc., returned an honorary doctorate from the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). He received this award in 2009 for his long-term cooperation with colleagues from the Pavlov Institute of Physiology RAS on the research of neuronal function in the central auditory system.
