RNDr. Soňa Vodenková, PhD
has received the EEMGS Early Career Award 2022, which is awarded by the European Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (EEMGS) to young talented scientists. This is an exceptional award as it is given to only one scientist each year, decided by a vote of an expert committee of renowned European scientists.
The award ceremony took place during the 14th International Comet Assay Workshop & 50th EEMGS meeting in Maastricht, the Netherlands, at the end of May. The main focus of the meeting was on new developments in genotoxicity and mutagenesis research.
The conference was attended by leading international scientists; IEM CAS was represented by Ing. Alena Opattová, PhD and Mgr. Kristýna Tomášová from the Department of Molecular Biology of Cancer.
