We would like to invite you to the webinar of the Commission for the Environment CAS, within which the results of the HAIE project - Healthy Aging in Industrial Environment, will be discussed. 

The project involves 4 Research and Development Centers, which include 4 research programs. Our institute also belongs to the mentioned centers.

In Program 2, Molecular-Epidemiological Studies, we evaluate the effect of air pollution on the genome of newborns, mothers, guards and runners.

Our research includes:

• study of DNA methylation and expression of selected genes,
• study of lipid peroxidation, formation of DNA adducts, oxidative damage of DNA,
• study of exposure to persistent contaminants and concentrations of PAH metabolites,
• study of lipidoma, antioxidant activity and markers of immunity,
• study of morbidity in children under 2 years of age.
• study of the relationship between biomarkers of genetic damage and oxidative damage to sperm damage in industrial and control sites,

• the study of runners investigates the load effect of a number of runners in an industrial and control locality on miRNA production and oxidative damage.
